I've got a print preset to output a postscript file. In previous versions of ID, the output filename was automagically <document name>.PS.
Now, it's using the document name that I had open when I saved the preset. I just made a new preset without a document open, and it's using the same document name.
Is there any way I can get it to go back to <document name>.ps?
This is pretty drastic, but trashing your preferences (see Replace Your Preferences) might help. My recollection is that the print presets are stored as part of the InDesign Defaults file. Before replacing the prefs I'd select all the presets in the Define... dialog EXCEPT the one for Postscript file and save them so they can be reloaded, then replace the prefs, restart ID and try defining a new ps file preset with nothing open.
Thanks - replacing the prefs worked!
