wstoll you say:
Make sure "acrord32.dll" is in the Data field of both "current" keys and the "next" key.
It is in one current key but not the other. The other current key and next key contain a default entry - type: reg_sz data: Locale\ca_ES\RdLang32.CAT
After I duplicate the key acrord32.dll in the first current key missing it do I remove or keep the above key?
There is no need to duplicate the key. I assume you did that erroneously under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE instead of HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
Please take a careful look at the attached images in the other thread:
- Image 1 and 2: the keys are under HKEY_CURRENT_USER
- Image 3: the keys are under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Replace the mentioned default data with "acrord32.dll", e.g. replace the entire string "Locale\ca_ES\RdLang32.CAT" with "acrord32.dll".
I'm only discussing Image 1 only. I have already completed Image 2 and have decided to not apply
image 3 from your statement of not sure it does anything.
Image 3 USEMUI key does not exist under hklm so I would have to add the entire thing and it does not exist on my machine either under hklm.
One last question under hklm the current and next location contain default values of local\pt_br\rdlang32.ptb.
Is this normal and ok to ignore?
OK, but I'm not quite sure why you had to duplicate one of the current keys, the second of which has a trailing blank btw, i.e.
- the first key name is "current" and
- the second one "current "
Regarding image 3 you can try it w/o adding the keys. If it won't work as expected afterwards, however, you should add them, too. So, I would be sure that these steps are actually necessary
I changed the current and next default data under HKLM to "acrord32.dll" as well. Unfortunately, I can't edit my post in the other thread.
