    Overlaying Two PDF's...

I'm not sure if this is possible with Acrobat X Pro but wanted to see if anyone has a way to do it.

I have a PDF from a designer that has a "template" of my logo across the top.  The template is made so it fits my estimating software's output PDF estimate.  I'd like to overlay the estimate on top of the logo template to create one PDF... just like I could with two layers in Photoshop.

It seems that would be a pretty obvious feature so I hope it's there.  Now for the more complicated one.

I have a version of the logo PDF that is all black.   My estimate PDF has the standard white background and black text.  I would love to be able to inverse the estimate PDF so that it works on top of the all black logo PDF.

If neither of these can be done in Acrobat X Pro, is there an app that would accomplish it?

      Thanks!

I can help you with the first part of the request:

          1. Open the PDF that will be the base layer.

          2. Show the Layers panel: View > Show/Hide >  Navigation Panes > Layers. You'll see it in the Navigation pane to the left.

          3. From the Layers panel menu choose Import as Layer.

          4. In the Import as Layer dialog, in the Source section, browse to select the second PDF file. Give the layer a name.

          5. In the Position section scale the PDF on top and change its positioning. You can also change the opacity. Then click OK.

I don't know of a way of inversing the PDF. It should be changed in the original artwork before making it into a PDF file.
