I'm using Premiere Pro from the Production Premium CS5, Windows 7 Pro, Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro ( BMDIP ) card. External monitor is connected to HDMI out of BMDIP card. When I play footage from the "Source Monitor" it appears on the external monitor as expected. But when I play from the "Program Monitor" or timeline, no signal is output. I have verified the playback settings of the project and have checked the settings in the upper right hand corner of both the "SM" and "PM". It seems to me that output from the "PM" would be more important that from the "SM". Could someone explain to me what I'm missing?
You have use a Blackmagic Sequence preset when you create the sequence. Add a new Sequence and select from the Blackmagic list. Then drop the video in the blackmagic sequence. That is how you have to intialize i/o cards in Premiere.
Thanks Eric. Works as described.
One more question. Since my monitor doesn't have speakers, is there anyway to get the audio out to my sound card while video goes to BMDIP HDMI?
