my idea was to go to use premiere -> Audition (editing in 5.1, in uncompressed format) -> SoundTrack Pro (Convert uncompressed 5.1 audio to an AC3 Dolby Surround 5.1 file)
now how can i incorperate that 5.1 AC3 to my final Audition Export
(for instance adding my 5.1 Ac3 to my video which exports to H.264 Blu-Ray or Mpeg2 DVD, keeping that surround track, [not using SurCode] )
thanks in advance
For bypassing the Minnetonka Audio SurCode plug-in, you might want to look at this THREAD.
Note: as I own the SurCode plug-ins, I have never tried anything in that thread.
Good luck, and hope that something there is helpful to you.
You don't add your 5.1 DD file in Premiere Pro, you add it in Encore, which normally takes separate files for video and audio anyway.
Jim, thanks a lot for that response, i don't have encore (yet, anyway...) i'm still on the trial version but its great to know that encore allows me to add different a/v files together!
and bill, thanks for that link, it's got some pretty good tips for working in surround sound!
