Did you enabled the "Allow object level display settings" in view>Display Performance?
Do your links could need updating? You haven't said your verion of InDesign, in CS5 you would see a yellow triangle by out of date links in the Links Panel, you use the menu on that panel to update them.
Hi, thanks for your reply - yes that setting is 'allowed'... the images are still blurry : (
It looks like this may be the problem - even though I updated my links... I actually need to re-link them.
The images you use need to be in one source folder don't they with indesign? Maybe that could be it as well. As I sometimes update the templates on an external hardrive, so the source folders would get mixed up.. and then need to relink them.
I am using indesign Cs5.
Thanks for your help, much appreciated.
Links can be anywhere, as long as ID knows where they are. If it can't find them in the location listed, it will look in the folder, and subfolders, where the.indd file is located when the file is opened. If you don't see a yellow warning triangle or a red missing circle, the link is fine.
