I'm recently having trouble downloading/installing Adobe Reader X (I was able to do it earlier last week but began having problems later in the week). The installation gets to ~50% and then stops with a message that says "Unable to Contact Trackers." I have tried to download/install on several different computers here at work, some are a clean download/install and some I am trying to upgrade from Adobe Reader 8. I have tried it using both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, both with the same result. Some of the computers are running Windows XP Professional SP 2 or SP 3, and some are Windows 7. Any thoughts/help would be appreciated.
This happens during the installation, not the download, right?
Did you download using the download manager? If so, try downloading the installer without DLM from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
If you still have problems, can you try the MSI installer http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/10.x/10.1.0/en_US/AdbeRdr1010_en_US.msi (English version)?
Thank you so much! I was able to use the first link (www.get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise) to download and install Adobe Reader X. (And, yes, the problem was in the installation rather than the downloading.) Thanks again for your help.
