I need to convert several PSDs containing about 25 layers each to an InDesign format. The only way I've been able to do it so far is to:
Open Place options
deselect all but one layer
create a new layer
repeat with the next PSD layer
I've never had to use InDesign until now so maybe I'm not doing it right. I rely on Photoshop's script/automate function because I dont know how to write and execute scripts. Since InDesign doesnt seem to have an automate function (which It really should, I dont see why not), I'm really at a loss.
Please tell me there's a way to automate this process so I can move on to bigger and better things.
If i understand you right...
Place the PSD file in indesign on layer 1. Go to menu "Object>Object Layer Options" turn off all eyeballs so the layer you wish is visible
Go to Layers Palette Duplicate layer and repeat step one again activating the PSD layer for that layer and so on.
Don't have much call for this but pretty sure this is how it is done.
Someone hopefully knows an easier way
