It's that time of year again when after installing the latest Mac operating system you precariously open your Director projects to assess the damage. Today it's the turn of embedded fonts that get replaced by that default system one. Anyone else have this problem and has found a solution?
Here are my findings:
• Custom embedded fonts are replaced in .dir files and Projectors alike.
• Reactivating the User / Library folder in the system doesn't work
• Using a PC .dir with an embedded PC font doesn't work
I'm rather perturbed by the fact that this latest hickup has retroactively effected v11.5 projectors.
Any tips greatfully received!
Any luck finding a solution yet?
Not yet. I'll post an answer if I find one.
I'm not sure how you'd go about fixing this. It may be something to do with the font Xtra being incompatible with Lion and a replacement slipped into the folder would fix it - but I'm guessing.
The font embedding problem has been fixed in the latest path (11.5.9). But don't worry - they've provided us with some nice exciting new bugs to enjoy, so you won't get bored.
