I recently installed an update to Adobe and it didn't work properly. It seems like it uninstalled my old version and never re-installed the new version. Adobe Reader no longer appears on my Add/Remove Programs list and everytime I try to download it again, it doesn't work. It downloads the installer file but whenever I run it, it does nothing. It disappears and never installs anything. What do I do?
If I were you, I would probably try the following.
Use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to remove all traces of Reader (not just the program) from your system. This is no longer supported by Microsoft because it can produce problems with Win 7, but you can still download it from from places like
