I am writing an AIR application that connects to the LCDS server, while I know how to configure the project to point to the server root folder, root URL and context path, My question is that the air file that I export would have all this information hard coded.
Like my LCDS server is running on linux and with samba, mapped to A:/ on windows where flash builder refers it as "A:\jboss-5.1.0.GA\server\default\deploy\MyWebServer.war" as root folder and http://<ip addr>:8180/MyWebServer as root URL. Even the Flex compiler options uses "-services "A:\jboss-5.1.0.GA\server\default\deploy\MyWebServer.war\WEB-INF\flex\services-config.xml " -locale en_US"
I really want the AIR application to read the XML file that will have the server IP and port and should connect to the LCDS server. I saw an example from Sujit Blog that shows how to configure channels at run time. Is it all that I need? I want to use the model driven development too.
How are these connections taken care of at deployment time.?
