Can you try and enable the Protected Mode in Adobe Reader 10.1.0. That should fix the issue.
You can do the same by:
1. Launching Reader and going to Edit > Preferences.
2. In the General category, check the chekbox corresponding to "Enable Protected Mode at startup"
3. Click Ok and close Reader. That should enable you to open PDFs without any issue.
