I am having a problem using the Resize effect on my spark Panel. I want to resize the height of my panel and transition to another viewstate when the user clicks a button. The problem occurs when the resize effect tries to fire. The panel resize is delayed and jotty. It almost seems like it has to load the elements from the new viewstate before the effect can execute. I have attached a screenshot to illistrate how my application is supposed to take action.
Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this? I am using Flash Builder 4 with the 4.1 SDK.
What build of Flex are you using?
Do you have a s:Form or mx:Form in your application?
I'm using Flash Builder 4 with 4.1 SDK. The Panel is a spark panel (<s:Panel>) and the form is a MX form <mx:Form>.
I used the MX form beacuse of the ability to more easily set labels on my text fields.
Will this cause performance problems? Also, is it bad to use MX controls and Spark controlls together?
If a spark equivalent of an mx component is available then I recommend using it. Since Flex 4.1 does not have a spark Form its fine to stick with mx:Form for now.
I have a feeling you're running into a bug similar to this: http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/SDK-28787
The solution to that was to use the spark Form (introduced in Flex 4.5)
