    Help with InDesign Console log

    maffk

I am seeing this in my Mac OSX Console log file a lot, I think it is appearing when Exporting PDFs to our SMB server and Save As to my Mac:

It suddenly appeared when I went to the Help menu and selected "Adobe Product Improvement Program".

The above is just short extract, it goes on for many lines.

Does anyone know what they mean, or why I am getting them?

      Thanks

      Matt

I don't remember exactly what causes these, and I don't see them often, but I do not believe they are cause for concern. They are warnings from Apple's Cor eGraphics API about trying to perform an operation on an invalid window. I suspect some part of InDesign closes a window before it removes an associated resource from that window. It should not impact InDesign's functionality.

These are definitely normal and not cause for concern.

They are certainly annoying, though. Similar to the first set but somewhat more abstract, they are cases where Adobe isn't using Cocoa's memory allocator

exactly how Apple expects. Generally speaking this might mean InDesign uses a little bit more RAM than it should (probably at most hundreds of bytes

each time, and that is miniscule compared to the hundreds of megabytes that it is supposed to be using.)
