3. Re: Lock panel window on right into place
quality11 Jul 27, 2011 11:44 AM (in response to JoyceEvans)Hmmm....I'm not sure how to describe it. You know how there's a series of panels on the right? Optimize/History/Align, Pages/States/Layers, Styles/Color Pallette/Swatches, etc? They are one on top of each other to form one big panel? That whole "big panel" will not lock and it just lies there on top of the image even if it's on the far right. When it's locked the image doesn't not go underneath and the panel doesn't hide things in the header and footer section of FW. Does that make sense?

4. Re: Lock panel window on right into place
JoyceEvans Jul 27, 2011 11:49 AM (in response to quality11)You on a Mac? I had that issue as well and the command from the Window menu did it. Windows| Use Application Frame - locked the panel and the Property inspector to the main window.

quality11 Jul 27, 2011 11:59 AM (in response to quality11)Also...I just clicked "Duplicate Window" from Window drop down and it's grayed out now. How do I turn that off?

8. Re: Lock panel window on right into place
JoyceEvans Jul 27, 2011 12:09 PM (in response to quality11)I never had an issue on a PC but maybe you undocked them all. Try grabbing the gripper and dragging to the right of document window and releasing. I haven't used on a PC in awhile so I am firing it up now:-)

JoyceEvans Jul 27, 2011 12:17 PM (in response to JoyceEvans)Do you happen to have "Cascade" or "Tile" selected in Window menu?
-
14. Re: Lock panel window on right into place
JoyceEvans Jul 27, 2011 12:19 PM (in response to quality11)You said "Duplicate Window" was grayed out. Be sure you have a blank or opened document, then check and see if it is not grayed out

15. Re: Lock panel window on right into place
JoyceEvans Jul 27, 2011 12:23 PM (in response to quality11)For future reference, when you drag and drop, there will be a thick dark line that appears. This is when you release the mouse or drop.

19. Re: Lock panel window on right into place
JoyceEvans Jul 27, 2011 12:30 PM (in response to quality11)LOL. You can practice on one panel. It is also the way you can rearrange the panels. It's how you place in order you want. You can also make or reaarange panel tab groups the same way
