any experience, or opinion, or postings about upgrading to 5.5

will be converting some web page forms developed with macromedia flash mx 6.0 to flash pro cs5.5

searched a lot for 'upgrade macromedia to adobe' , 'convert macromedia....' etc etc and found basically nothing

called adobe tech support and they say 6.0 will not convert, oldest to convert would be 8.0 and didn't offer any help beyond that,

downloaded the cs5.5 trial, opened up the 6.0 source ok, made a couple quick edits like changing label names etc, recompiled

and ran on website using  the existing codebase load and... pages loaded ok, drop down boxes worked, etc but  some strange things like

input  text boxes for numerics only would only accept 0,9, and alphabet characters.

so am not sure what to expect, theres a fair amt of action script, 8k lines, creating xml list to pass to succeeding web pages, etc etc

so there's a bit going on.

anybody have any experience with a similar project and some ideas what to expect? point  me to any posts on the subject?

I'm guessing this an action script upgrade by default

adobe also said the trial doesn't have all the functionality of the real product, so not sure what that encompasses.

are you asking for opinions about cs5.5 vs flash 6.0??

if so, flash 6.0 is basically worthless for all but the most basic flash development.  but it should be good for flash design projects.

no, definitely not asking for opinions on which is better,

I'm asking what problems I might encounter trying to port an application originally developed with

            mx 6.0 to cs 5.5

especially after adobe claims the mx 6.0 can't be converted to 5.5, thats they're official corporate stance

my brief practical experience so far is showing that it seems a good bit seems to work ok.

I'm trying to get a handle on how many 'gotchas' are out there.

I'm concerned because I have about 3 dozen form fields and 9000 lines of code,

that seems like a ton of code for the size of the application at hand, and with that there may be a lot

            that can go wrong.
