I am pretty handy with Primere Pro CS5, and a little with After Effects.
Usually doing HD digital work.
But when it comes to formats, well, that is something I need to focus on learning.
I have a DCR-HC21. Records to Mini-DV tape.
I have alot of videos I would like to transfer to DVD.
I am able to import video from the device using firewire, into Premiere Pro CS5.
However, I want to be sure I am choosing the right settings when
initially setting up the project. For best quality.
Any help would be great.
And to best understand what is happening, watch this:
When you create a new project you are presented
with a menu of sequence settings to choose from.
You can skip this step by hitting "Cancel", then import your media
and create the type of sequence that best suits your footage.
Thanks alot for the help...
After import, what would be a good format to go to?
When coming from MiniDV?
The DVD will be watched on mostly HD Plasma or LCD screens.
Send your file to Encore and let Encore do the math or
export to mpeg2-dvd with one of the presets.
Use a dvd-player with upscaler or DB-player with dvd capabilities.
