Yes, I've read the threads. No, I never installed the HTML5 pack. Illustrator CS5 update from 15.0.0 to 15.0.2 fails, with the five culprits from the HTML5 pack being fingered as the reason (ArtStyle, CharParaStyle, Layers, SVG Format, and AdobeSVGExport).
I am not going to delete and reinstall my software. I am not going to log in under a new user account and try it there.
Are there useful, nondestructive solutions to this problem? Manually combing through the installer database, for instance, and moving and renaming the files in the updater's temporary folder, perhaps? Or, you know, Adobe just owning up to its problems and fixing them?
I'd apologize for the tone, but frankly, the stonewalling I've seen on every request for support on this issue seems to preculde that.
Useful suggestions appreciated. If you don't have any, please don't bother to reply. Thank you.
