I'm working on several documents in a book. Each document has a large image that bleeds well off the top of the first page. Most of the documents have other images as well. The Links panel is showing other images, but the one that bleeds off the first page isn't listed. I need to update that link, but without the link listed in the panel, I don't know how to do that.
I have tried deleting my preferences and nothing has changed. Any suggestions?
I sounds like it was copied and pasted into InDesign. (If it was embedded on purpose, it would show up in the Links panel.)
You did restore preferences following the procedure listed here, right? That's the only sure way: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/526990
If that's the case, then you might just delete the picture, and place it again.
You were right. I had originally copied & pasted the image, but I did that so long ago, I forgot that's what I did. I've placed the file and it's showing up in my Links panel.
Sure wish I hadn't deleted my preferences now...
