I am new in Adobe InDesign and I am encountering with a graphic issue which I hope you can help me to solve it.
I am using Adebo CS5 and trying to creatre an Interactive PDF.I tryied to use some png icons in my document using File/Place.. method, but when I place the icons into the document it seems they lose theor quality! and when I export the doc to interactive PDF images(png) looks very low quality. I test to save with both jpeg and jpeg 2000 but same result!
Can you please let me know how I can enhance the imported icons quality?
What is the resolution of the PNG file when you view it in Photoshop? After placing in InDesign, you can view the resolution in two ways: In the Info panel (Window > Info) or the Links panel (Window > Links). What is the Effective Resolution in InDesign (that's the resolution after you scale it in InDesign)?
Thanks for reply and I checked the resolution which both Actual and Effective are72 PPI.
Do you think this is the reason of the low quality?
If so how I can improve it?
Yes, those are low quality. How are you using the interactive PDF? If it's to be viewed on the computer monitor, that's at the lower end of acceptability. If the PDF is to be printed, the icons will look pixelated (chunky).
Where are you getting the icons from?
