Having issues uninstalling adobe reader 9 from add/remove programs, error message comes up saying I don't have access to the patch program etc., have already tried the windows patch suggested by someone on another forum and I still can't uninstall it.
Adobe says I need to pay them $39 for them to help me get rid of it. Have searched the internet and it seems to be a relatively common problem. Doesn't seem right for them to charge each person $39 who is having trouble getting rid of it when it is such a common problem, don't you agree? I'd be very greatful if anyone has any other ideas to share.
Yes, this is a very common problem, and the solution is regularly posted in this forum.
Download, install, and run the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility, and use it to remove the corrupt installation of Adobe Reader.
The tool is no longer supported by Microsoft, but it can still be found at 3rd-party download sites like http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
already tried that, still not working. thanks anyway
just tried again and it worked this time, yay! thanks!
