BUG with htmlText in RichTextEditor when using bullet & alignment together?

    Johnking08 Level 1

I use the htmlText property in mx:RichTextEditor to export the formatted html text and display it in mx:Text with its htmlText.

I found the htmlText property in mx:RichTextEditor is different from its display.  For example, the center-aligned bullet text are displayed correctly in mx:RichTextEditor, but the htmlText string is:

      <TEXTFORMAT LEADING="2"><LI><FONT FACE="Arial" SIZE="12" COLOR="#000000" LETTERSPACING="0" KERNING="0">Simple sample text</FONT></LI></TEXTFORMAT>

Somehow, the alignment tag (<P ALIGN="CENTER" >) is missing. So when you use the above string in the htmlText of mx:Text, the text will be left-aligned.

The correct htmlText string should be:

      <TEXTFORMAT LEADING="2"><P ALIGN="CENTER"><LI><FONT FACE="Arial" SIZE="12" COLOR="#000000" LETTERSPACING="0" KERNING="0">Simple sample text</FONT></LI></P></TEXTFORMAT>

If I just use alignment without bullets, it seems fine.

I'm using Flex 4.5 trial version, but mx:RichTextEditor has been there since Flex 2.

Is this a bug or known bug? any comments or suggestions to solve this problem.
