Keep getting error: "Adobe Reader has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I have tried removing the program completely and re-downloading it. It will work for maybe one document and then returns the error message again. I have disabled my anti-virus software when downloading. What else can I try? Thanks.
I don't know what's causing this problem. I use Reader X on Windows 7, but on most XP systems I use Reader 8.3 or 9.4.5 without any problems.
have you check if the document is corrupted, if it isn't try going to the taskmanager and closing up some program processes. and again open up the document. This might help finding out which program is causing the adobe reader to fail.
Thanks for the suggestion, but the error appears no matter what PDF file I try to open, whether on my computer or on the web. Also, I can't open the Adobe Reader program itself...I get the same error message.
