    Mac performance question for CS5.5

      Hey Guys,

Please forgive me if this is ignorant, but I'm a recently converted FCP user that just upgraded my system and installed the Nvidia Quadro 4000 to enhance the performance. I was doing some rendering in PPro and felt that my computer's performance still seems to be lacking. So, I decided to run the activity monitor while rendering a small project.

If I'm reading this correctly, it appears that my system is not using its full capacity (by far) to do the work.

What I'm seeing in the activity monitor looks like my CPU is only being used to about 20% of capacity, and RAM at roughly 50%.

Here is a link to a screen capture of my activity monitor.  Can someone please explain what I'm seeing, and if I'm reading this correctly?

And if so, what can I do to increase the performance of my computer.
