It is up to you whatever server side script you use as long as you can write the xml on disk or inside some database. Use the same script language that you use to serve the xml in the first place.
PHP not required. Call the same function to write xml your using already, with the modified XML data. File will be overwritten by the new data.
i want to use PHP, so far i have writen the file manually.
Lets say there will be some empty file which the app will use to store the data. The application will handle the content and then save it trough PHP scrip.
so how do i do this? I tryed to to find some examples but i think i must be blind, coz i couldnt find anything usefull.
yes, but i forget to write that i am not using any script to write the xml file yet. I have done it manually. So now i need to automate it by using PHP script.
any suggestions where could i find some nice and clean example?
If you are talking about only one simple Xml there's no point to go AMF. Otherwise you might give it a try...

$outFile = “file.xml”;
$fout = fopen($outFile , ‘w’) or die(“can’t open file”);
$fileData = stripslashes($_POST["dataFromFlex"]);
fwrite($fout , $fileData );
You need to send data from your flex app to this script in POST request in “dataFromFlex" variable.
construct your xml data as string when you send from flex.
