We have an office where we print a weekly pennysaver and use two different printers.
1 printer is for Black and White and the other is for strictly color.
We have a booklet set up in indesign and typically the front, front inside, back and back inside are printed in color or we will call this the "cover" for now.
When printing the booklet we use imposition to print the entire booklet duplexed.
how would we go about sending the "cover" to the color printer and the other pages to the black and white printer? What would be the easiest method?
I hope this makes sense!!!
Thanks for any guidance.
Typically I would suggest printing to PDF so you can then print selected pages each printer froom Acrobat, but this is complicated in Snow Leopard (and presumably worse in Lion) if you are using a Mac. If that's the case, an imposition script might be easier than Print Booklet as you can run the script, then export spreads to PDF.
We are using Windows 7 and CS5. I am just trying to streamline the process to save as much time as possible.
Thanks for the suggestion, I will have the Designer look into doing it this way.
