Hi, I just bought Adobe After Effects CS5. This is my first experience with this software. I am making a stop-motion animation video. There are scenes where my characters are filmed totally behind green screen. So after I remove the green, place my background and all, my characters look like they're just floating in the air. Is there a way I can create a shadow on my stop-motion characters to make them look like they're actually walking on the background and not floating?
Any help would be much appreciated. Again, this is the first time I am using After Effects.
you can duplicate your actor layer and make it 3D. then, use effect fill and make it black. then, use fast blur effect for make it blur and make a nice shadow..
There are diffrent ways to acheive shadows it depends on the shot so, upload a simple still prevw of ur Composite
