    60fps Video showing Jittery/repeat Frames?

I have 59.94fps video in a 59.94fps comp, the video is 720p and is recorded from a HD Capture card. When I put the clip into After effects cs5, I get a strange jittery, repeat frame effect. It is only in a couple parts of the clip, but the strange thing is, in anyother video player/ editing software, it is fine, no repeat.

Basically what im getting is this, every so often, there is a jitter in the video, like so, it goes Frame 1-2-3-2-3-4-5-4-5-6-7-6-7-8-9. Its very annoying and renders the video usless. The video is .mp4

Thanks in advance for the help!

my specs are, Windows 7, AE CS5, ATI radeon HD GPU, 6GB RAM.

Does AE report any pending conforms (media pending)? To what location are you capturing? The problem occuring only in parts would indicate that there were hiccups during capture/ transfer eitehr due to genuine disk performance issue or the drive being fragmented. Also not much point comparing it with external players - VLC et al never show you every discrete frame as AE would and since your eyes are to slow, anyway, they will skip damaged data or reconstruct it from frames farther away, none of which AE does.

Well I dont think it has to do with the capture, because i have captured and rendered it as .mp4 from the sorce, witch is also .mp4, im importing a render clip that is saved onto my hard drive.

Im not positive, but this might be helpful to know. The Capture card records at a frame rate of 60.006fps, which I then render to 59.94fps .mp4
