    FlashBuilder 4.5 Memory Profiler Failed to Take Snapshot for a Large Flex Application (Flex SDK 3.6)




      We are profiling a large Flex application that has a large runtime memory footprint of few hundred MB. We have tried on Windows, and Mac OS X using Firefox and Google Chrome with Flash Player 10.3.


      So far, when we were lucky, we could capture only one memory snapshot (with watch live objects, and generate object allocation stack traces turned of) , and the second one simply took forever even when we took it right after the first one. On Mac OS X, the memory used by Flash Player was around 500MB, while the memory usage reported by Flash SDK was 240MB, and 40MB by the profiler (this is odd also).


      I wonder if anyone has any suggection on this?
