Our company is creating new business cards for all of our managers. We have a Chinese correspondent in Hong Kong. He wants three Chinese characters in parentheses after his anglicized name. With the help of one of my Chinese colleagues, I discovered where in the Adobe Ming font these three characters are, code-wise. But, in InDesign, the font "Adobe Ming" doesn't even show up as a possible font choice. Why? Is there something special you need to do in ID to tell it to respect foreign character sets?
Scroll all the way to the bottom of the font list.
Never mind. I found that all of those special language fonts are at the bottom of the font list. They're not placed alphabetically. Thanks, anyway.
Yeh. Thanks, Bob! I found out in the help menus.
