you have to pay Apple first
and then request a certificate and provisioning file
and then try and figure out how to convert the certificate to a .p12 file
and cross your fingers and hope they will allow it in their store
and you have to own a mac, although there are some convoluted ways to get a certificate using a pc you still cant get onto the store without a mac
Apple makes everything so easy. That's lovely.
I thought that Flex makes it possible to compile iPhone app regardless of OS if you have the 3 files Apple offers.

yeah, no problem with Flex. Its getting the files from Apple and then getting the app in the store thats the problem. Adobe (and Android) are trying to make it as easy as possible whereas Apple are just being complete a**holes
