A colleague and I put heads together to get this nut broken and I think, we reached a further step. I just reviewed the working steps on a machine with still Acrobat 5 installed and recognized that Acrobat 5 puts a 6,3mm margin by default around the "whole printout". So there was and is no magically centering in Acrobat 5 it just fit to our requirements (see first posting in this thread) and that's it.
So my next problem is now, where I have to define the margin of 6,3mm in the Adobe(x)PDFprinter configuratio? I don't know well how to edit.joboptions files if I have to.
