Hello all and thank you for reading this post.
I have a question regarding a person introduction / presentation technique. What I mean by this is, I have a few classmates I interviewed for a short documentary and I'd like to introduce them to the viewers by somehow bringing their still image in forefront followed by bluring and desaturating the background behind them. Then add their name and title...
Can someone please direct me to a tutorial or sugest a link? I was looking online but I'm probably doing the wrong word search.
I'm using Premiere CS5
Thank you kindly,
If you want to affect the background separately, you'll need to separate the background from the foreground. Unless you shot the people against a solid-color background (like a green screen), then you'll need to use a program other than Premiere Pro to do this. Premiere Pro just doesn't have the compositing tools for this kind of work. Photoshop (for still images) or After Effects (for movies) are necessary.
If you're going to use After Effects, come over to the After Effects forum with questions. Here's a good place to start for compositing features in After Effects.
