Export/Ripping a Indesign Book File to PDF

I export alot to pdf for web use. For me I have found the best quality and smallest file size i to rip an entire document to poscript file and then use distiller to

save for standard file size. That makes a very acceptable file size with great quality. If I export pdf using even smalledst size from Indesign directly, they file is much larger. Anyway I now have a book document but I cannot see how you export the enture 30 pages to the postscript file. Appreciate any hekp on this.

Do you literally mean "rip" (raster image process), which converts any vector data to bitmap, or do you mean that you use the print window to print to a PostScript file, which leaves vector data as vector data?

Whether you export as PDF or print to PostScript, you set the page range in the export or print windows.
