4. Re: Chaning JPG size in Premiere and second question about importing powerpoint presentation
Colin Brougham Aug 23, 2011 8:57 AM (in response to WebGuyDesign)That's a big ol' "it depends." Are you scaling up or down? What are the dimensions of the sequence? Of the slides? Are you working in a progressive sequence or an interlaced one? Are you using GPU acceleration ("hardware MPE") or software-only rendering? What will you be exporting to?
In general, you're pretty safe if you're scaling down in Premiere Pro; scaling up can look OK to an extent (I use the accelerated Sharpen effect and usually get decent results if I'm not really blowing up an image) but if you have a long way to go, Photoshop might be a better avenue.

5. Re: Chaning JPG size in Premiere and second question about importing powerpoint presentation
Colin Brougham Aug 23, 2011 8:59 AM (in response to WebGuyDesign)Yes; you can click on Motion and copy it and then paste it to a selection of clips, or you can copy the whole clip, and then use the Paste Attributes command which will paste all effects and changed parameters from the source clip. You can also save the Motion effect as a preset that you can apply later.

WebGuyDesign Aug 23, 2011 9:51 AM (in response to Colin Brougham)I need my final movie to fit 1920x1080 or 1280x720 each will do. I have loaded all of my images in, how do I scale them at once?
also, after your project is completed is there a program that consolidates or compresses your movie for fast play back without losing any quality?
Thanks man!

You can try Scale to Frame Size (read help here: Scale assets), but that's not without caveats. As I mentioned, if you set up the Scale on one clip, using the Motion > Scale parameters, you can copy and paste the Motion effect or copy the whole clip and use the Paste Attributes command, or use a custom effects preset. Lots of options...

That's the domain of Adobe Media Encoder, included with Premiere Pro. It's pretty capable: Using Adobe Media Encoder

8. Re: Chaning JPG size in Premiere and second question about importing powerpoint presentation
WebGuyDesign Aug 23, 2011 12:35 PM (in response to Colin Brougham)thanks I have added them all to my project, now I would like to put in blend effect between each picture so that they fade in and fade out or something that makes the transition look good. What is a good way to do this without putting keyframe for each image?
