No reply on this one? Is there no solution?
I desperately need help to solve this - I have 3 + hours of footage that I need to synch external audio with - unfortunately pluraleyes isn't fixing many clips - my only solution is to do this manually and if I can figure out a way to see timecode from other PCs/Macs I can get some help and move forward faster.
Hoping someone from Adobe is reading this and has some pointers.
I've never worked with audio files that have timecode myself, which makes it difficult to troubleshoot.
I don't know if this will work in CS5, or not, but from Audio Timecode (and Merge Clips) in 5.5?:
1. Go to Premiere Prefs subsection Media.
2. Read the folder location in Media Cache Database and go to that location in the finder.
3. Close your project and/or quit ppro
4. Delete all *.ims files in that finder location
5. Open your project again.
I'm not positive... IMS files might have been new with CS5.5. Worth checking, though.
Thanks Colin - however there are no .ims files in the cache folder :(
Checked on one Mac and 2 PCS where I can't see timecode and none of these have any .ims files.
Are those Wave or Broadcast Wave files? Only Broadcast Wave can contain timecode.
