When I get InDesign files CS4 and CS5 from clients. There seems to be preference built in
to the files. For example if i make a box using the rectangle tool there is a stroke and or a fill.
No big deal i just set it to none, or colour the box white to hide something. This just the
workaround we have to do for these clients.
What you are seeing is what the default in the files is set to. With nothing selected go to the Swatches panel (or the control panel in CS5) and change the fill and stroke there. From then on that will be the default for that document.
If you do it with no document open that will be the default from then on for new documents that you create.
Thanks. That works.
