This page http://www.adobe.com/devnet/devices/flash_platform_tv.html is correct. Currently if you want to develop for AIR for TV you need to target AIR 2.5. More about the future of TV should be coming soon.
Thanks for the update.
When you say "coming soon", are you referring to the upcoming Adobe MAX ?
Yes. I can't speak for the roadmap of AIR for TV. But I'm giving a session at Max "TV: The Final Frontier for App Monetization". In that session I'll go through exactly how to build an AIR application for TV. I'll also go over some new features related to AIR for TV.
Thanks. I won'be coming to Max this year, but will look out for the recording of your session.
BTW, have you had any luck playing RTMP streams in an AS3 based AIR app on Samsung's 2011 devices. (e.g. D6700 blu-ray)
I was able to get the air app on the device and I can see vector graphics but the minute I try to play an RTMP stream the screen goes black and the blu-ray hangs and I need to restart. The same stream plays fine in an AS2 based swf on the blu-ray player. Tried posting on the Samsung forums, but it's been pretty silent over there.
That doesn't sound good at all. It sounds to me like a bug to me. Hopefully there will be a fix and an update soon.
