We are looking for Reader X to run from a CD. Currently, we have version 7 to run from our CDs.
Our company scans legal documents, convert pages into pdf files and we put those files on CDs.
Once the customer inserts the CD in to their computer, an auto-start menu appears.
The menu gives you the option to view the files using your installed acrobat software or
view files from acrobat reader 7 that is already on the CD. We are looking to upgrade our Reader 7 software
that is currently on our CDs to Reader X. Is this possible? Thanks!
Adobe does not provide nor support "portable" versions of its software in any form. There may be downloads elsewhere on the Web claiming to offer this feature, but we strongly discourage anyone from downloading Adobe software from any unauthorized source, as they are often used as mechanisms to distribute malware.
Ahhh, I see... Thanks for your speedy response Dave!
