Using CS5.5 to create epub. Uploading to Apple I get the following error for each line in the TOC:
ERROR ITMS-9000: "Invalid URI in NCX file Conversations Within 2 Med Book-10.html#toc_marker-10 : Illegal character in path at index 13: Conversations Within 2 Med Book-10.html#toc_marker-10" at Book (MZItmspBookPackage).
The TOC is generated using the standard inDesign process. I can't figure out what the illegal character might be, nor can I find the NCX file to look at or correct the html.
Addendum: The file works fine on both iPhone and iPad. No errors noted, and TOC functions correctly.
I've got the same problem I use ID CS5.5, when I used Itunes Producer, did you find something to fix this problem? I search but could not find any soltion.
Sorry for my english I'm french.
Yes, actually. Apple was very helpful.
The problem was that there were spaces in the filename, which the ID uses to build the TOC.
See the error in my example: "Conversations Within 2 Med Book"
So, save your ID document using a name with no spaces (ie in this example "ConversationsWithin2MedBook"). Open that and rebuild the TOC. That did the trick for me.
