naartjie gello Sep 2, 2011 12:26 AM (in response to JSS1138)I will try, Jim. It's a big file and we don't have the best Internet speeds where I live.
Also thought I should mention I have used a fair bit of Magic Bullet Looks effects and colour correction in the project.

JSS1138 Sep 2, 2011 6:19 AM (in response to naartjie gello)That would have no effect on playback of an exported file, only real time playback of unrendered footage inside PP.

naartjie gello Sep 2, 2011 10:13 AM (in response to JSS1138)Ok, thanks Jim. I went back into PPro to take a closer look at the clips where the stutter was happening (although it's not always consistent) and on the first problem clip noticed it contained a keyframe, which I deleted, saved the project and re-exported. Voila - it didn't stutter on that section. But I'm not convinced this is the problem...
Will try and upload tonight and will post the link when done.

5. Re: Problem with mp4 export
naartjie gello Sep 3, 2011 6:31 AM (in response to naartjie gello)Although I have the latest version of VLC, there are options in the player to improve the performance when playing H.264 mp4 files - the "Use GPU acceleration" is turned off by default. I also changed the setting "Skip H.264 in-loop deblocking filter" to "All".Now it plays perfectly in VLC. As I never use WMP, somehow I was using an older version and after an update it too plays my file just fine.
So there was nothing wrong with the AME export. Apologies for wasting your time, Jim.
