    Returning the NetError string

    DigitalDesignMedia Level 1
      Hi Everyone,

I know it easy to return the NetError number, but can this be turned into the corresponding string? For example NetError 4146 = 'Connection could not be established with the remote host.' I know it must be possible to return the string rather than the number.

      Any help greatly appreciated.

          Hi Jason,

          http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_12131
Gives an overview of errorcodes and their explanation. then you can
          build something like

          on getReadableError errorCode

          case errorCode of

          -- ... some more errorcodes

          4144: return "Failed network operation"
          4145: return "Failed network operation"
4146: return "Connection could not be established with the remote host"
4149: return "Data supplied by the server was in an unexpected format"
4150: return "Unexpected early closing of connection"

          -- ... some more errorcodes

          end case
          end

Call this function with the result of a call to: netError(operationID)

(I dind not test the code and wach out for wrapping lines.)
