    Background problems

    neesey
      I'm loading a new background onto my site and it only appears as a tiled background. How do I change it so that I only see the image once? I've tried changing the size in Photoshop but then the image doesn't load correctly in the browser. Thanks for helping a newbie out.

          Its always advisible to place a table (1row x 1col) of width x Height
          equal to the background image size you want to see on your site and then
          place the image inside the table.

          Hope this helps.

            Or better still use a CSS declaration like this:
            body {
            background-image: url(../image.gif);
            background-repeat: no-repeat;
            background-position: center;
            }

              I am having a lot of trouble with this myself.
              the table didn't solve the problem. where exactly do you put the CSS declaration you mentioned in this thread
              thanks
