Bob Bringhurst Sep 2, 2011 8:19 AM (in response to Johannes Eckert)The most recent changes to the web client may have enabled analytics for single-folio apps with the current Viewer Builder. I'll check.

JuergenBerk Sep 2, 2011 10:23 AM (in response to Johannes Eckert)Good point, Johannes, look forward to hearing more about this...
We are about to release a single folio app and I had not planned on updating the producer tools before this release, but would do so if it introduces analytics. Hopefully they are already part of the new viewer...

3. Re: Omniture Analytics in Single Folio Apps
Johannes Eckert Sep 3, 2011 1:19 AM (in response to Bob Bringhurst)in my analytics dashboard, I see placeholder metadata, that, i suspect, will be replaced once one app is live.
But the navigation structure in the menu offers no way of choosing the app the data will be pulled from. It is just for my account and shows downloaded folios.
Also, isn't there a popup question the user will be asked wether he accepts the anonymous user tracking?

Johannes Eckert Sep 5, 2011 10:46 AM (in response to Johannes Eckert)Bob,
any update on this?
I see template data from omnichron magazines. I have a single folio viewer on iPad and a multi folio viewer on android up and running, but still see no personalized data.

Tomek Kuczborski Sep 5, 2011 10:57 AM (in response to Johannes Eckert)Hi Johannes,
(Finally, I am moving to this "other" forum;-)
I think that for Omniture to work, your work has to go live via iTunes, after the change was introduced. Until now, the magic code was not embedded into the Single Viewer apps, and now it should change. I am updating the English version of my Chopin app next week, maybe we'll learn something then...
Cheers,
Tomek

6. Re: Omniture Analytics in Single Folio Apps
Johannes Eckert Sep 5, 2011 11:04 AM (in response to Tomek Kuczborski)My DONE in the app store is a single folio viewer v14 (current viewer
builder).
When I create multi folio viewer, the viewer builder has some settings for
the "magic omniture code", the viewer is live in the android market and
still no data.
Do you see placeholder data in the analytics tab?

PS. I receive this thread messages in my e-mail, but when I try to replay, my message returns with an error. Any ideas?

8. Re: Omniture Analytics in Single Folio Apps
Bob Bringhurst Sep 5, 2011 12:04 PM (in response to Tomek Kuczborski)My understanding is that Omniture data for single-folio apps will not work until the new Viewer Builder is available (scheduled for release later this week). You'll need to rebuild and resubmit your single-folio app to track user data.

9. Re: Omniture Analytics in Single Folio Apps
JuergenBerk Sep 8, 2011 7:44 AM (in response to Bob Bringhurst)@ Bob, all:
We are submitting a single issue app to Apple this weekend, and I'd love to include this functionality, so I have 2 questions:
Q1 - Is this new viewer builder release you mentioned for this week still on track, so waiting to submit to Apple until the weekend is worthwhile?
Q2 - Other than simply using the new viewer builder, is here anything I need to activate RE Omniture, any data or info I need to submit to our Adobe Solution Provider to set this up?
Many Thanks, Juergen

10. Re: Omniture Analytics in Single Folio Apps
Bob Bringhurst Sep 8, 2011 8:44 AM (in response to JuergenBerk)The new Viewer Builder is scheduled to be released tomorrow, 9/9.
Your Omniture account should have been enabled during the subscription setup process. When you walk through the Viewer Builder steps, the last page displays your Omniture data. If the Omniture data doesn't show up, contact your Adobe representative.

JuergenBerk Sep 8, 2011 9:20 AM (in response to Bob Bringhurst)Awesome, thanks Bob!
Now, should I be seeing this last page that displays my Omniture data with the current viewer builder 1.4 already? (I do not)
Or only tomorrow with the new one?
Tx and Best Regards,
JB

Bob Bringhurst Sep 8, 2011 9:50 AM (in response to JuergenBerk)You should see it now if you're a DPS subscriber. If you don't, contact your Adobe representative, or send an email request to dmpubsup@adobe.com.

13. Re: Omniture Analytics in Single Folio Apps
JuergenBerk Sep 8, 2011 10:16 AM (in response to Bob Bringhurst)OK Thanks Bob, I contacted them to check my DPS subscription.
When opening the DPS analytics web page I currently get an error, not sure if it's related.
"Service Error
Error retrieving report from Omniture Server:{"error":"Authentication key not found"}"
I contacted dmpubsup@adobe.com with this info, and hope they can help sort this out before tomorrow's apple submission.
Best, JB

14. Re: Omniture Analytics in Single Folio Apps
JuergenBerk Sep 8, 2011 2:51 PM (in response to Bob Bringhurst)PS, just to point out that currently the viewer builder displays this analytics data panel only when creating multi-issue folios.
The reason I wasn't seeing the omniture panel was because we are building a single issue app. This will change with tomorrow's release.

16. Re: Omniture Analytics in Single Folio Apps
Martin Lér Oct 19, 2011 7:55 AM (in response to Johannes Eckert)Just my two cents - quite often we are preparing apps just for internal use (sometimes we are rebuilding with new provision files old .folio exports). In this case this Omniture feature is quite annoying, because i MUST give some credentials with Omniture active, even when i don't need this feature at all.
