Hello everyone, I'm having some difficulty using Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5. My family recently bought this because we wanted to string some clips together using the video from our new Sony Bloggie, but we found out that it's not compatible with WMM and we want to keep the HD stle that we were able to get with the Bloggie. We've only used WMM to separate clips and put them together in the timeline, but I'm really confused about how the interface for Premiere works. I thought the Razor option would be what I was looking for to cut my video up into segments, but it still shows the entire full-length video. Could anyone point me in the right direction in how to use Premiere for this purpose? Thank you.
Welcome to the forum, and also to PrPro.
I would start with this FAQ List, and the Help Files, as they will greatly speed up the learning process.
Now, if I understand what you need to do, all you have to do is Target the Track(s) with your Video (and possibly Audio) on it/them. Then, you can use the Razor to Cut, or can place the CTI/Playhead to where you wish to Cut, and hit Ctrl+K. What is probably missing is the Targeting of the Track(s).
