Not another one.
So i jsut got CS%... and tripped out on the fra edge highlighting... I can't stand it. It's really annoying. I'm showing people
work on my screen, and I can't point an element out without it lighting up... distracting from the conversation as well as the aesthetic.
As a workaround, just make sure to select a different tool first, such as the hand tool.
sorry if it bothers you, Eugene... I'm kinda pissed- and your opinion means as much to me as how many fly turds can fit on a dog crap. Hike on and spread your irrelevence somewhere else brother.
thanks for the suggestion John, I saw that in the forums... and I do appreciate you calling it to my
attention... but I'm looking for a more practical and long term solution... like Adobe giving me the upgrade for free.
Thanks for you help though.
Sorry it's all documented before. There's been a spate of FAQ recently and it's so tiring. I am usually more helpful.
I can't do anything about it. It's the way it works. Adobe won't refund you. It was documented in the What's New features before you bought it, so you have an expected knowledge of what you were buying.
Look, John is right. You need to switch to another tool.
I've never found an issue with this feature. I didn't even know it was always like that before it was posted. I actually find it more beneficial than a hinderence.
At the end of the day, it was a feature they added.
I can't believe they asked for a full upgrade price for a dot five release! (they did didn't they?)
Anyway - 5.5. doesn't do this. I'm not sure when CS6 is out. But you're better off waiting. If you can't wait then upgrade .Only solution.
Having a bad night. sorry for abruption earlier.
Actually I think you can get a refund.
Contact Adobe and they will help you.
It will involve sending back all materials etc. but I'm sure Adobe can help you.
Hopefully you're not outside the time frame to receive a refund.
Just got CS5? It hasn't been sold by Adobe for the better part of 4 months. That means you didn't buy from Adobe and you're not likely to get a refund.
This thread is not going to go any further than the others so I'm locking it.

Edit: No, it was not a full upgrade price.
