    Zoomify panoramas into DW.

    ploughman1 Level 1

      I'm using Zoomify to create web-insertable panoramas in Photoshop CS5.1 to place in my site in Dreamweaver CS5.  So far, so easy.  Zoomify creates a folder with all the project files (I've called this example test) As well as the .swf and .xml files and numerous tiles, it creates an .html file (which, for some reason appears outside the folder and needs to be 'dragged into' the folder).

      testpic1.gif

      I've put this folder in the root directory of my website and opened the test.html file.  The following appears:

      testpic2.gif

      When I 'open' test.html when it is on my desktop, I can view a .tmp file and all is well but when I open this file within DW, I get a 'broken' Flash symbol and the previous dialog box.  Any suggestions?  The relevant code (within DW) is:

      <OBJECT CLASSID="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" CODEBASE="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,0,0" WIDTH="800" HEIGHT="650" ID="theMovie">
                              <PARAM NAME="FlashVars" VALUE="zoomifyImagePath=test_img&zoomifyNavigatorVisible=true">
                              <PARAM NAME="BGCOLOR" VALUE="#ffffff">
                              <PARAM NAME="MENU" VALUE="FALSE">
                      <PARAM NAME="SRC" VALUE="test_img/test_img/zoomifyViewer.swf">
                                 <EMBED FlashVars="zoomifyImagePath=test_img&zoomifyNavigatorVisible=true" SRC="test_img/test_img/zoomifyViewer.swf" BGCOLOR="#ffffff" MENU="false" PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash"  WIDTH="800" HEIGHT="650" NAME="theMovie"></EMBED>
                            </OBJECT></TD>

          I did a search and came up with this from PZ:

          The code being generated by your script is an older version of code used to insert Flash that has since been updated by DW.  In this case your best bet would be to go back to Zoomify and discuss this with them as their program is generated the outdated code.

          Alternatively if there is nothing else on the page except for the Flash object you could use DW to insert the Flash file whereever you want on your page and just get rid of their file.  It should work.
