I'm running CS5.5 on a Mac.
When I start a new project and I try to set my scratch disk, I am told that I don't have permission and that my 'documents' folder will be set as the scratch disk. However, once Premiere has finished loading I am able to change the scratch disk. Still, it'd be nice to get this working properly.
I've tried this with a few drives and always get the same message. These drives work fine as the scratch disks for FCP.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. I'm just switching to Premiere from FCP and am trying to learn my way around.
Thank you! Never would have figured out that one on my own.
I enabled root user (googled it and found an apple tutorial). It seems to have worked. If I don't repost within a few days. All is well.
Can't take credit (except for making a note of the link) since I'm Windows and not Mac... glad it worked
