I'm editing a very long corporate video (Zzzzzzz) and the speaker is wearing a lav mic on his tie that is rubbing against his jacket every once in a while. Now, I could go in to Audition and Auto Heal each spike. BUT, I'd rather not.
Any Premiere audio effects I can mass apply to whole clips the that can help out? Like DeClicker? DeCrackler? Some really specific EQ?
None that I've ever found useful.
The best solution I've found is to hire an audio op that knows what he's doing, and will prevent this (or correct for it) in the field.
You will have to go in and cut out each occurance that does not coincide with speaker audio... then replace with room tone (ambient room noise) No chance of a fix if the hits are laid down on top of speaker talking. Mic placement is key.
Thanks! I assumed as much. But didn't know if there was some magical next gen plug-in for this. Is there an audio equivalent of SIGGRAPH?
