Jim Curtis Sep 7, 2011 7:29 AM (in response to lou4uandme)You can make 23.976 FPS BRDs in Encore. Keep the frame rate consistent throughout the process.

lou4uandme Sep 7, 2011 8:14 AM (in response to Jim Curtis)THANK YOU for responding.
My only confusion is when I advanced frame by frame in encore. It seems to insert a blank frame every 3 or 4 frames.
Usually that happens in premiere if I mis-match a 23.976 frame rate with a 30 timeline.
I advanced frame by frame on my TV, and all frames are there . So I am so confused.

JSS1138 Sep 7, 2011 8:26 AM (in response to lou4uandme)Not all TVs can properly display a 24 fps signal, in fact the vast majority can't, so the player will insert the pulldown frames. Encore is simply emulating that behavior.

lou4uandme Sep 7, 2011 8:50 AM (in response to JSS1138)So this Blu-ray is going to be shown at a film festival which has a front projection player.
Are you saying that "IF" their blu-ray player & projector support 24 frame, my movie will be shown in it's native format with no pull down added?

JSS1138 Sep 7, 2011 11:44 AM (in response to lou4uandme)Correct. And if the projector doesn't support native 24fps, then the Blu-ray player will add the required pulldown.
